Be Our Guest Restaurant Breakfast Review

Happy #tastytuesday! Today I wanted to share my breakfast review of one of my favorite themed restaurants, Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World! This restaurant brings any Beauty and the Beast fan right into The Beast’s castle through three themed rooms: the ballroom, the West Wing, and the Rose Room (the last of which is not in the movie, but still a cute room with a large dancing model of Beauty and the Beast in the middle).

Be Our Guest (BOG) is also a unique dining experience because it is considered both quick service for both breakfast and lunch and a signature restaurant for dinner, the latter which has a character meet-and-greet with the Beast. As you can use your Disney Dining Plan credits at BOG as well, this restaurant can basically pair with any dining plan, as you can use either 1 quick service credit for breakfast/lunch or 2 table service credits for dinner. The menu is also different for each meal, which gives a different experience for each dining option as well. My husband and I have tried all 3 options, but I wanted to review them all separately since they are all different experiences. And so, for this post, we will focus on the allergy friendly breakfast!

On our last trip, Kyle and I made an 8:00am reservation on the day that we were leaving to go back home. We made our way into Magic Kingdom park and to New Fantasyland, where BOG is located. We checked in for our reservation at the podium to the left of the entrance to the bridge into the restaurant, and we were given a menu (above). I asked if there was an allergy friendly menu available, and the cast member let me know that I would be able to talk to another cast member inside when I ordered to confirm my food allergies, but that there was not a separate menu. Kyle and I were then directed to get into the line to the right of the entrance to the restaurant to wait to order our food.

One of the cool things about BOG is that you have the option of ordering online for breakfast/lunch up to 30 days before your reservation date. You can do so through your My Disney Experience account online under the reservation and you can pick from both regular and allergy friendly options. We had tried to order online before we arrived to our reservation, but I was having issues seeing the allergy friendly options, so we chose to wait until we got to the restaurant. If we had ordered online ahead of time, we would have been directed to the left (no line) and given a red rose to bring with us to our table, which is how the cast members inside will find you and bring you your order. Both options are not wrong, and it did not take us long to make our way inside and order our food.

Once we were directed inside the restaurant, we made our way into a hallway lined with suites of armor. This was fun entertainment as we waited in line to place our order! The suites of armor were talking to each other across the lines and their conversations were hilarious! I could feel the magic as soon as I walked into this hallway.

Soon we were at the end of the line and waiting for a cast member to direct us to an order kiosk. The kiosks are actually placed in the Beast’s study, where you can do a meet-and-greet with him at dinner. It was hard to get a picture of how pretty this room is because it was so dark, but the detail work is absolutely gorgeous.

When it was our turn to order, a cast member directed us to the order kiosk, which was a fun touch screen. As you order, you can request the allergy friendly options by pressing a button on the top left and clicking on all of your allergies (not pictured). I decided to order the allergy friendly waffles, as they were a safe option and were dairy, gluten, and egg free. Kyle decided to go with the open-faced sandwich on the regular menu.

After we had ordered, we took our receipt from the kiosk and went to pick our table. During breakfast/lunch, you can choose the room you sit in as long as there is a free table. Kyle and I had eaten in the ballroom before, so we decided to look for a table in the West Wing. Luckily, we found one of the only available tables. The West Wing is a much smaller room than the ballroom, and so seating is more limited. We were glad to be seated away from the rose (in the corner of the picture where the light blue is; my actual picture did not come out so great) because usually people will come by the room just to see and take pictures of the rose.

While we were waiting for our meals, we were given a variety of pastries, both allergy friendly and non-allergy friendly. I was so excited for the pastries I received, as they were from Erin Mckenna’s Bakery NYC. My options were lemon poppyseed bread, cinnamon bread, and a chocolate raspberry bread. All three options were absolutely delicious! I’d had the lemon poppyseed before, as it was a part of our gift from Victoria & Albert’s. I tried the other two for the first time that day, and I was blown away by the fudgy-ness of the chocolate raspberry bread. I was unable to ask about all of the ingredients in the bread, but I am able to confirm that they are egg, gluten, and dairy free, as those were my allergies.

About 10 minutes later, our entrees arrived. Kyle’s was delivered in a fun food cart (not pictured because it was too dark). My entree was delivered separately as it was the allergy friendly option. Other than my waffles not being in Mickey shapes (I hadn’t asked if this was an option!) everything was very good! The powdered sugar on the waffles was a little much with the maple syrup, but also it’s vacation so I indulged in all of the sugary goodness. I really liked my side of fruit as well, as it was definitely fresh. All in all, definitely a great allergy friendly meal.

One thing I forgot to mention in this review was how the cast members found our table since we did not have a red rose. Once you have ordered your food at the kiosk, the cast members use your magic band to locate you in the restaurant. Like I mentioned previously, this is only for breakfast/lunch; at dinner, you will be seated more formally.

We love BOG, and my husband will always ask us to get a reservation here if possible. This is definitely a restaurant that you should book at the 180 mark for your vacation, as reservations can be heard to come by depending on when you are visiting Walt Disney World.

Here’s to living out best and most delicious Disney lives! <3
