Hello everyone and happy #tastytuesday! This week I am reviewing my experience at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs. You can find Earl of Sandwich in The Marketplace section of Disney Springs. Like other 3rd party vendors in Disney Springs, you can find Earl of Sandwich elsewhere outside of Disney, however, this was our first time visiting. Earl of Sandwich is moderately priced and counts as a Quick Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

We arrived to Disney Springs around 5:15pm and headed from the Lime Garage (by Polite Pig), past World of Disney, and onto Earl of Sandwich. Normally, you can enter Earl of Sandwich from two sides, however, the side closest to World of Disney has been designated as an exit only, with a cast member positioned there to direct people to enter at the other entrance to the left of the exit. As we walked up to the entrance, another cast member was there to give us a menu. I asked if there was an allergy friendly menu and was told that I could essentially order whatever I wanted and the chef would make it happen.

Earl of Sandwich is known for its hot sandwiches, but most of them had cheese, mayo, or were served on regular bread, which minimally contains wheat/gluten, and for me, baker’s yeast. I decided to stay away from the hot sandwiches and instead ordered the Chicken Bacon Avocado wrap.

Once we were ready to order, we placed our order at the first register (all the way to the left) and paid at the second register (on the right). I liked that there was plexiglass as an extra precaution at the cash registers, but the plexiglass also made it very hard to hear what the cast members were saying. We also dropped our used menus in a bin in front of the check-out register, which I am assuming are collected and sanitized to be given out again by the cast member greeting guests. As you can see, we chose to go at a good time, because the restaurant was pretty empty.

Once our order was placed and paid for, we were given a buzzer and directed to wait unit our order was ready. As there were not many people in the restaurant, our sandwiches were ready in about 10 minutes for us to pick up. You can see that there is plexiglass around the pick-up area as well.

As far as labeling goes, I liked the clear label that showed which was my sandwich and which was Kyle’s. I also thought that the wrapping was really cool for a sandwich shop!

Now for the actual sandwich- I was pretty pleased with what I got. There was a decent amount of veggies, chicken, and avocado. I also liked how the dressing was spread out and I could taste it in every bite! Although I really liked the wrap itself, I didn’t really find it to be amazing or different from wraps I’ve had in the past. I’d rate this sandwich a 6.5/10.

Overall, I was very impressed by how Earl of Sandwich handled cleaning and safety precautions. The plexiglass was helpful, the tables were all positioned 6ft apart, and the markers on the floor made it easy to follow social distancing guidlines.
Like I mentioned in my Instagram post, I was kind of disappointed with the allergy friendly options here. Maybe it’s because I am a little spoiled with other options (looking at you Erin McKenna’s!), but I was hoping for more plant based options or a separate allergy friendly menu altogether. I was happy that the chef could make anything you asked, which is a great option, especially to make sure your food items are not cross contaminated. If you are looking for allergy friendly options in Disney Springs, I would still check out Earl of Sandwich, but just know that you may have to speak to the chef in order to see which options are available to you.
Here’s to living our best and most delicious Disney lives! <3
