Allergy Friendly Snacking Around Walt Disney World

Happy #tastytuesday friends! If you can believe it, this is my 50th blog post!! I’ve really enjoyed sharing my allergy friendly experiences with you at both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. To celebrate 50 blog posts, I’ve decided to do a cumulative post today about my favorite snacks at each Walt Disney World park, Disney Springs, and at the resorts! So, without further ado, let’s get started.

Starting with my favorite park, my go-to allergy friendly snack in Disney’s Animal Kingdom may be surprising to you. I LOVE Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries at Mr. Kamal’s food cart between Africa and Asia. These fries are perfectly crispy and crunchy with the perfect amount of spices and salt on top, and they are allergy friendly for dairy, gluten, and egg allergies (unless they have changed the way they process them recently). The best part? You can choose from 4 different dipping sauces to either put on top or add on the side! I really like the Spicy Honey Ketchup and the Tandoori Honey Mustard. I’m a fan of savory snacks, so this one always hits the spot for me. But let’s be real- you can’t really go wrong with any food in Animal Kingdom!

Heading over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, my favorite snack is super simple: anything in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! I actually wrote a post specifically talking about my favorite galactic snacks that you can find here. However, I really wanted to highlight the blue milk in this post, as it is made allergy friendly for dairy, gluten, and eggs as-is. Some of my family prefers the green milk, but I really like the blue. It’s fruity and reminds me a little of sweet tarts, plus it tastes awesome when spiked with a little rum!

Crossing over from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Epcot, you may be surprised that my favorite allergy friendly snack here isn’t in the World Showcase (cue gasp! Lol). It’s actually located at the quick service in The Land pavilion, Sunshine Seasons. This plant based cookies and cream mousse is vegan as is, but not gluten free, and it’s one of the most decadent desserts I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. There was a short period of time where I was ordering the mousse every time I walked into Epcot. It’s just that good!

Lastly for the Walt Disney World parks, we have made our way to Magic Kingdom! Now, this snack may really surprise you because I’m pretty sure I haven’t ever talked about it either here or on my social media pages. But, I can’t get enough of the cinnamon and sugar covered almonds! And I know, I know, I can get these at all 4 parks, but there’s just something about munching them in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Although not for peanut allergies, this snack is dairy, gluten, and egg free and easily accessible around Magic Kingdom park.

Now that we’ve covered all 4 Walt Disney World parks, let’s head on over to Disney Springs! Honestly, this one was the easiest snack to choose because of the amazingness that is Erin McKenna’s Bakery. Everything in this bakery is vegan, gluten free, wheat free, refined sugar free, soy free, kosher- you name it, for the most part, Erin McKenna’s can make it! I’ll honestly order anything off the menu here, but my latest obsession is the pumpkin pie. I liked it so much that I ordered one to be shipped to our house for Thanksgiving! If you haven’t given Erin McKenna’s a try, you are definitely missing out.

And now, we have finally made it to the Walt Disney World resorts! You may be thinking to yourself “Meagan, are you going to cover EVERY SINGLE RESORT?!” Well, in a way, I am, because you can find my favorite allergy snack at every Walt Disney World resort! We’re talking allergy friendly Mickey waffles- you know, those fluffy, tasty, sweet, doughy, always cooked perfectly Mickey waffles that you can order at every single quick service, table service, and in room dining breakfast options at each of the Disney resorts. I like mine with a side of sausage, and they are gluten free, dairy free, and egg free perfection every single time.

BONUS ITEM: Popcorn! Not sure what you want to snack on or looking for something to share? Walt Disney World popcorn is vegan and gluten free, plus you get a ton for the price you’re paying. It’s a great option if you love salty snacks, and you can find it in all of the parks!

I hope you enjoyed learning about some of my favorite allergy friendly snacks around the Walt Disney World resort! What are some of your favorite allergy friendly snacks? Tell me in the comments!
